I've worked in large tech companies, like Motorola, Philips, Lucent and Sony - and run my own businesses. Each has helped the other: Understanding how to manage and scale business divisions helped me grow my own start-ups. Acting like an entrepreneur in a large corporate got things done.
I've raised over $100m in venture finance and grown my mobile business to 350 people in Europe, Asia and the Americas, so I've first hand experience in scaling. I've crashed and burned a few times too - that is very valuable experience.
Now I work mainly on projects with an ecology theme - as an investor and chairman. But I'm open to all businesses as a mentor.
For me, mentoring is about listening to the challenges you're facing, and then challenging you back, hopefully giving you a broader scope of the possible solutions available.
I'm approachable and easy to talk to and will listen carefully before challenging you and hopefully finding the solution you need.
